Fall is definitely my favorite time of year—always has been. The weather, the colors, and of course, Halloween and spooky stuff. In our little nook of the Sierras, we've got lots of Aspens, and they're all starting to explode with color. As amazing as summers are here, I do love having a light sweater on outside.
I've been spending a lot of my free time decorating, maintaining Spoooky.biz, watching horror movies, and prepping for a Halloween party we'll be hosting. We did one for the first time last year, and it was a lot of fun, and an excuse for me to really go wild with my passion for the holiday, and scratch my creativity itch.
Between June being home sick and a few other projects I'm juggling, I thought it best to keep the flyer simple. So I scanned in some of June's recent sketches (one of them mentioned in my previous post) and slapped together a pretty straightforward informational flyer that, in my mind, was going for a sort of '90s community-event style. I'm pretty happy with it:
I'm also working on our annual holiday card we send out to friends and family, which in our little bubble of people in the U.S. is typically done at the end of the year, but we've been sending ours out around Halloween instead. I think its fun.
I still have lots of ambitions for other Halloween-related decorations and projects, but we'll see what I can actually get done. As a human, and as a parent, it kinda always feels like there's not enough time in a day, but it especially feels that way for me during the month of October.
See ya on the other side!
